Dr. David Wiss, PhD, MS, RDN came on this podcast to look at my Life Course, my food timeline, and discuss how coming from a history of addiction could relate to my struggle with food.
Dr. Wiss shares the BIOPSYCHOSOCIAL model in health, meaning the Biology, The Psychology, and the Social-Cultural aspects of health.
Life events become embedded into our biology and are a critical component of feeling addicted to food. Dr. Wiss helps us see where food and sugar aligns (does it?) with Substance Use Disorder.
I love all that Dr. Wiss has to share valueable, thought proviking, and his research links many facets of health together, to look at nutrition, mental health, eating disorders, all in a manner that is refreshing and missing in the healthcare space.
This post of his is a great example
I am honored that Dr. Wiss graced this podcast!
